About Darin
Darin Slyman is an experienced publisher, creative director, marketer, business developer, photographer, videographer, producer and journalist with more than 15 plus years in the creative field. Darin has assisted in building several successful media companies from the ground up.
One of his most notable accomplishments is when he became publisher and creative director of acclaimed LGBTQIA+ media group Vital VOICE and MAX Magazine. Darin bolstered these brands' circulations to more than 150,000+ monthly magazines distributed throughout the Midwest. He was also instrumental in growing the company's revenue to over $1.2 million annually, no small feat for a specialized Midwest media outlet.
Darin's managerial skills allow him to lead any size organization with confidence, having managed teams of 20 or more. Darin's many years of experience have also led him to develop relationships with celebrities like Bill and Hillary Clinton, Senator Claire McCaskill, Lady Gaga, Nelly, The Property Brothers and many more.

Darin developed and launched MAX Magazine to engage the millennial generation by focusing on the modern man. Along with the 25K issues distributed monthly, MAX also had a robust digital presence and event series. At its pinnacle, MAX Magazine garnered an audience of 50K people monthly.
